I saw her in the window and it was love at first sight. She has a beautiful curve at her hip, but I think it was that sexy row of stainless steel neck bolts that stole my heart. (Speaking of neck bolts: watch this movie.) I love having mannequins to dress in my sweaters; it’s extremely helpful to get that on-the-form view, to step back and look objectively. If you have a little spare cash, get one - it will make you a better designer, even if you don’t think you’re a designer now. Dotty came from here.
Pru is modelling the ubiquitous February Lady, in mid process. I started this project late last fall, using the leftover yarn from Stacy (the cover of Big Girl Knits). I’m knitting the XS size since I know from experience that this yarn is stretchy and squishy and will mold nicely to the figure. I’ve been wearing all my old fat sweaters all winter long, and I am ready for something new, slim, fashionable, and fun!
What else is happening? I found a new lawyer to write up some business paperwork that has been stymying me for several months. I also finished a hank of yarn that has also been on the bobbins for several months. This three-ply sock-sport weight targhee came from Emma last summer.

That’s two posts in two weeks. A new record!
The question is, do you buy the model that is close to what you are in size, or the one that is a “sample size!” (I am not a 34″ bust…) I have been pondering this for a long time!
